CCS MUN ’23- Overwhelming Response to the Super Event!

On January 27, 2023 Carmel Convent School successfully hosted the third edition of their annual Model United Nations Conference. Organised with the  help of Agahi events, it was the largest 3-day MUN conference, with more than 1000 students participating from across the tricity.

The opening ceremony took place on January 27, and Ms Anusha Khurana, IRS was the chief guest on the occasion. It was an action packed affair, setting the tone for the conference.

Held from 27-29 January, the conference included 14 committees.

The heated debates and discussions helped students understand the conflicts and struggles of countries and communities around the world. The sessions were insightful, thought provoking and engaging for each and every participant.

The principal Sister Supreeta, the teacher coordinators Ms Mehak Mehra and Ms Anupreet Kaur Arora and the secretariat of the MUN addressed the students both at the opening and closing ceremonies. They urged the students to use this opportunity to understand the complexities of the world and think of creative, peaceful and sustainable solutions. The chief guest at the closing ceremony Garima Singh, IRS regaled everyone with her inspiring stories.


On January 29, 2023, the bang of the gavel brought the CCS MUN to a close, however before leaving, each participant gathered their share of happy memories, enriching experiences and the motivation to make a difference wherever they go!
