On 5th July, the CCS Eco Club celebrated Vanmahotsav with the planting of saplings of various trees like amla, peach, silver oak etc in the school campus. The Sisters, teachers and students enthusiastically planted the saplings and vowed to continue making the campus and our city a greener and cleaner haven for all. On this occasion the School Principal, Sr Shanta, the School Manager, Sr Isabel, and other sisters of the school management encouraged the students and teachers to plant saplings in suitable places so as to keep the environment green. The Eco Club also facilitated an exhibition of bamboo products as alternatives to plastic products by a Chandigarh -based start-up, Baanscraft, in the school's physics laboratory.  Dr Natasha Kalra, the co-founder of Baanscraft, made the parents and students aware of how bamboo products are more sustainable and decrease the pollution havoc created by the use of plastic.
