The Primary Wing of Carmel Convent School celebrated its Annual Day with great enthusiasm and splendour, presenting a magnificent cultural extravaganza titled “Indian Rhapsody - Tapestry of Melody and Motion.” on November 12, 2025. The event beautifully portrayed the rich heritage, diversity, and unity of India, leaving the audience deeply moved and proud of the nation’s vibrant spirit.

The Chief Guest for the evening was Mr. Randeep Singh Rai, Senior Advocate, Punjab and Haryana High Court and Supreme Court of India, who graced the occasion with his presence and inspiring words.

The celebration began with the ceremonial lighting of the lamp, followed by a heartfelt welcome address by the Principal, who emphasized the importance of instilling cultural pride, inclusivity, and unity among young learners.

Through a seamless sequence of classical, folk, and contemporary performances, the young Carmelites took the audience on a journey across India.  The programme was a rhapsody of melody and motion — where rhythm met grace, and tradition blended seamlessly with music. Each performance reflected the diverse heritage of our land — a land where every dance told a story, every song carried a soul, and every act echoed the harmony in diversity of India. The performances highlighted the idea that though India is a land of countless languages, customs, and traditions, its heart beats as one.

Mr. Rai applauded the school’s efforts in nurturing artistic expression and national values among its students. He commended the confidence and talent of the young performers and congratulated the teachers for their dedication and creativity in shaping such a memorable event.

The evening concluded with a grand finale symbolizing national unity, followed by the National Anthem, filling the auditorium with patriotic pride and applause.
