On May 21, 2026, Carmel Convent School organized an educational visit to the Butterfly Park, Sector 26, Chandigarh, for the members of the Eco Club under the supervision of their class teachers. The students were guided by renowned environmentalist Mr. Kulbhushan Kanwar, who shared interesting information about butterfly species, their habitats, breeding cycles, and behavior patterns.

Students explored the park, observed butterflies and birds in their natural surroundings, and visited the “Titli Ghar,” the butterfly breeding house. They also learned about the role of minerals in butterfly survival and the importance of ecological balance and environmental conservation.

The visit was highly informative and gave students a valuable opportunity to connect classroom learning with real-life nature study and biodiversity awareness.
