Students of the Literary and Book Club, along with their teachers, visited the Le Corbusier Centre in Sector 19-A, Chandigarh, on April 29, 2026 as part of a field trip. The students were given valuable insights into the map of Chandigarh and the history of its origin. They were also introduced to the visionaries and planners who contributed to building the “City Beautiful.” Important places in Chandigarh were discussed in detail.

The students were shown various artefacts such as clay pots, utensils, and toys from the Harappan Civilization, which were discovered in Sector 17. They also learned about the significance of the Open Hand symbol. All the students participated enthusiastically during the explanation of Chandigarh’s history.

Through this visit, the students gained a deeper understanding of their city and developed a greater appreciation and love for the beautiful city of Chandigarh.
