Carmel Convent School, Chandigarh, welcomed Brigadier Ashish Maini, Group Commander, NCC Group Headquarters, Chandigarh, on 27 October 2026, in the presence of Commander Gaurav Pant, Commanding Officer,1 Chd,Naval Unit and the Training Officer.

The programme commenced with a warm welcome by Second Officer Preeti Swami, ANO, who also compered the programme. She introduced the dignitaries and presented a brief overview of the school's NCC activities and achievements, bringing the outstanding accomplishments of the cadets to the Group Commander's notice.

During the interaction held in the NCC Room, the Group Commander addressed the cadets and motivated them to uphold the core values of discipline, leadership, patriotism, and commitment to the nation. He also highlighted the role of NCC cadets in contributing towards the vision of Viksit Bharat 2047, inspiring them to become responsible citizens and future leaders.

As a token of love and appreciation, handmade cards prepared by the cadets and saplings were presented to the dignitaries. The Group Commander also presented a memento to Vice Principal Sister Premalini and tokens of appreciation to the cadets, including the escorting cadets , in recognition of their participation and achievements.

The Group Commander, accompanied by the Commanding Officer, Training Officer, and Vice Principal, visited the NCC Office to review its functioning and activities.

The visit was an enriching and motivating experience for the cadets, reinforcing the values of discipline, service, leadership, and nation-building.
