Visit to GMCH on 15^th April

On 15th April 2026, the Government Medical College and Hospital (GMCH), Sector 32, organized an Integrated Health and Education (IHE) workshop for school students from the tricity. A total of 264 students from Classes VIII to X of our school participated in the event, accompanied by their teachers, Ms. Archana Mathur, Ms. Manu Sharma, and Dr. Isha Sood.

The workshop began with an engaging and insightful lecture on the topic “Adolescence and Skin” by Dr. Mala Bhalla. She explained the importance of maintaining healthy skin during adolescence and shared useful tips on managing common issues such as dandruff.This was followed by an informative session on the importance of CPR conducted by doctors from the Department of Anaesthesia, GMCH. Students received well-organized, hands-on training in this life-saving skill using dummies, which provided a realistic learning experience.

The final segment of the workshop featured a live demonstration of anatomical specimens conducted by MBBS students. This session offered students a fascinating firsthand introduction to the field of medical and healthcare education, making learning both engaging and practical.

Overall, the visit was highly informative and enriching. The students thoroughly enjoyed the experience and look forward to participating in many more such opportunities in the future.
