The Staff and students of the Primary and Pre-Primary wing ushered a warm and genial welcome to Sr. Shanta Fernandes, on taking over as the Principal of Carmel Convent School, Chandigarh, on July 1, 2025. A cordial welcome was also extended to our Reverend sisters, Sister Shanti, primary incharge, Sister Meeta, pre-primary incharge and Sister Maria Lizanne. The staff and students of the Primary and pre-primary expressed their respect, and sincere appreciation for all the sisters who are an embodiment of love, commitment and values for the entire Carmel family. A soulful prayer service was organized to seek the blessings of the Lord upon the Principal, Sr. Shanta and all our sisters. The primary choir sang prayer song and a graceful prayer dance was presented by students to seek God’s grace and express immense gratitude towards the leaders of our school. Speaking on this occasion Sister Shanta thanked the students and teachers incharge for the warm welcome programme and urged the students to strive for excellence in each aspect of school life.
