Carmel Convent School, Chandigarh organised the <Young India Culinary Championship> for students of Classes VI–VIII, in accordance with the guidelines laid down by the CBSE.

The championship provided students with an exciting opportunity to showcase their culinary creativity, presentation skills and understanding of healthy and nutritious food in fireless cooking. The participants prepared a variety of sandwiches, salads and canapés, displaying great enthusiasm, imagination and attention to presentation.

The event was honoured by the presence of Chef Arpit Awasthi and Dietician Taran Singla, who were invited as the Chief Guests and judges. They evaluated the dishes on various parameters given by CBSE. The competition encouraged students to explore the joy of fireless cooking while developing important life skills such as planning, creativity, time management and mindful food choices. The participants enthusiastically embraced the challenge and presented their dishes with confidence and pride.

The Young India Culinary Championship was a wonderful learning experience for the students and successfully promoted the spirit of healthy eating, culinary creativity and experiential learning
