Carmel Convent High School presented the delightful musical “Mum-In-Charge” during its High School Annual Day held in the school auditorium. The production was an adaptation of the play by J. B. Priestley and highlighted the value, humour, and indispensable role of mothers in family life.
The Chief Guest for the occasion was Dr. Renu Vig, Vice-Chancellor, Panjab University, while Dr. Yajvender Pal Verma Registrar, Panjab University, graced the event as Guest of Honour. The programme commenced at 3:00 p.m. with the ceremonial entrance of the dignitaries, who were warmly welcomed and escorted by the school band and management.
Following the felicitation ceremony, a serene prayer dance set the tone for the evening. The stage came alive with vibrant performances as the young actors skillfully portrayed the wit and warmth of “Mum-In-Charge.” Interspersed with lively dances by students of Classes VI to IX representing cultures from across the globe, the musical kept the audience thoroughly engaged.
