On October 1, 2025, Carmel Convent celebrated the birth anniversary of Venerable Mother Veronica, the foundress and Gandhi Jayanti. The programme began with the lighting of the Mother Veronica candle, and the ceremonial lamp. Moving tributes followed, including prayer dances, soulful medleys dedicated to Mother Veronica, and bhajans in memory of Mahatma Gandhi. The Peace Club added depth with prayers, petitions, and the pledge, while students creatively presented a skit titled “Boxes.” A touching personification of Mahatma Gandhi, evoked admiration.

Post-function, competitions for Classes VI to XII, on themes of peace and values of the two great leaders, were held, ranging from slogan writing and poster making to calligraphy and murals. Winners were awarded certificates and appreciated for their creativity.
