Carmel Convent School Ushers in the Academic Session 2026–27
The gates of Carmel Convent School opened wide on April 1, 2026, marking the vibrant commencement of a new academic year. The campus came alive with the infectious energy and bright smiles of students, all eager to step into their new classrooms and embark on a fresh journey of learning.
The School Cabinet confidently conducted the inaugural assembly as they formally assumed their responsibilities for the year. The School Pupil Leader extended a special and heartfelt welcome to the Class 6 students, celebrating their significant transition into ‘High School’. Following the assembly, classes resumed with renewed enthusiasm, setting a positive and focused tone for the year ahead.
The afternoon was dedicated to professional enrichment. The Principal, Sr. Shanta Fernandes, formally introduced and welcomed the new members of staff across all departments into the Carmel family. A briefing followed this on the activities planned for the month of April. Sr. Shanta also conducted an insightful orientation session on ‘Classroom Management,’ highlighting effective engagement strategies and the importance of thoughtful and meticulous planning.
The session left the teachers feeling rejuvenated and inspired, equipped with fresh perspectives and renewed zeal to make the academic year 2026–27 a truly successful and fulfilling one.
