Date: 21 May, 2025
An engaging session on 'Humane Education' was organised by the Health and Wellness Club on 21st May 2025. The resource person, Mr Inder Sandhu, from Peeduspeople, an NGO working in the field of animal welfare explained to students of classes 8 - 10 the importance of animal welfare. Mr Sandhu explained how to read the body language of street dogs, elucidating why these and other animals do not pose a threat to humans, unless provoked. The students were sensitised to the miserable loving conditions of animals on streets and urged to show more compassion towards them in order for a better co-existence with them. The students and teachers found the session very informative and enlightening.
