In the run-up to the World Environment Day on 5th June, the students of Carmel Convent Chandigarh, enthusiastically participated in the Eco-art Competition, held by the school's Eco Club. Despite being on their summer vacation, the students showed immense zeal in making beautiful artefacts out of plastic waste.
Throughout the months of April and May, students had been encouraged to make bird feeders and planters out of discarded plastic utensils.
Through the school app they were also sent the URL of a short video on the harmful effects of plastic on the planet earth
