For any society to progress, it is important that its citizens are physically fit. Never has this been truer than in the year 2020, when a pandemic brought the world to a virtual standstill. To counter the effects of being confined to homes, Carmel Convent School conducted fitness classes online for students throughout the year.
The third week of December was celebrated as ‘Fit India School Week’ online.
As part of the FIT INDIA SCHOOL WEEK, Carmel Convent School organised the following events:
Day 1:
Yoga for all: A yoga session was conducted for all Classes. Students and teachers were guided through various asanas and also a meditation session.
Day 2:
Free Hand Exercises: Online Exercise sessions were conducted for classes VI-XII.
Day 3:
Poster Making Competition: A Poster Making Competition was organised for all classes on the theme ‘Hum Fit toh India Fit‘.




Day 4:
An Essay Writing Competition was organised on the topic ‘Fitness beats Pandemic’ for Class XII.

Day 5:
Healthy Eating: Class teachers talked to students about the nutritional value of various foods, and the importance of maintaining a balanced diet. The students also took a pledge to maintain healthy eating habits.
