“If your actions inspire others to dream more, learn more, do more and become more, you are a leader.”
– John Quincy Adams
Carmel Convent School’s motto is to ‘Inspire, Empower and Excel’, creating leaders of tomorrow. There is a special ceremony that turns this into reality, the Investiture Ceremony. For us, this ceremony is not just about providing titles, but about conferring responsibilities to the students, to take charge of the school and take it to the height they desire with their leadership and decision-making skills, communication and teamwork.
The Virtual Investiture Ceremony for forming the School Cabinet of 2021-22 was held on June 7, 2021. The ceremony commenced with a short prayer and hymn, followed by the Principal Sr Supreeta announcing the newly appointed cabinet. The portfolios of the elected student leaders were displayed along with their photographs. It was a proud moment for all to witness these children being invested as they embarked on a new journey as leaders.
The new School Pupil Leader Purva Goyal then took the oath of office on behalf of the entire cabinet. They were congratulated and blessed by Sr Supreeta, who also shared some words of wisdom on how to carry on their duties. The event concluded with the vote of thanks proposed by the Class Teachers of Class XII.
