The NSS volunteers of Carmel Convent School organized a series of three workshops through online sessions on November 21, 2021. These workshops were designed to spread awareness about the National Digital Literacy Mission, the Pradhan Mantri Jan Dhan Yojana, and the Digital India mission.
The first was to spread awareness about the National Digital Literacy Mission. A short presentation about the levels of training, eligibility criteria and the process of the program was followed by a short quiz which was won by Anshika, Sejal, Soniya and Shamama.
Another session was also held on November 21,2021, to make the Bapudham students aware about the Pradhan Mantri Jan Dhan Yojana. A short presentation was followed by a quiz which was won by Sandhaya and Sonia.
The vision of the Digital India mission was the establishment of a “faceless, paperless and cashless” India. A brief introduction about banking cards, net banking, UPI, Micro ATM’s, UUSD and AEPS was given through this final presentation. A very humorous and informative play was shown portraying the importance of having different online payment methods like PayTM and GPay in today’s time. The Bapudham children enjoyed a lot while gaining immense knowledge. A quiz was held at the end to check if the students were paying attention and Rabbi and Simran proved that the sessions were fruitful.
